Join Balanced Breakfast for Rock Lotto 2026 at Kilowatt on Sunday, November 15, for a FREE celebration of San Francisco’s independent music community. Is this your first time hearing about Rock Lotto? Imagine randomly assigning local musicians to bands with people they may have never met, then giving them one month to turn three Top 40 songs from 2026 into something completely their own. You could end up with five guitarists, a room full of drummers, an unexpected mix of singers and instrumentalists, or a combination nobody would have planned on purpose. Whatever the draw gives you, that’s your band! That’s Rock Lotto!

Come watch these freshly assembled bands take the stage together. Bring your friends, discover local artists, cheer on the performers, and enjoy the unpredictability of a live musical experiment. You never know which combination will surprise you, which song will get everyone singing, or which collaboration might continue long after the event.
Rock Lotto is about more than putting on a show. It’s about getting people out of their usual circles, creating new connections, and reminding ourselves that some of the best things happen when we don’t know exactly what’s coming next.

Rock Lotto is presented by Balanced Breakfast, a community founded in 2013 to connect music fans, artists, and industry professionals through meetups, showcases, festivals, and educational events. Join us in San Francisco on the last Thursday of each month or at our Oakland meetup on the first Tuesday. Balanced Breakfast also connects music communities across San Jose, Napa, Santa Rosa, and beyond.
Come for the music, stay for the community, and see what happens when musicians get thrown together and make something unexpected.
