Los Angeles Band Ward Releases New Music Video C’est Magnifique

C’est Magnifique” has a great end-of-summer vibe with its blend of New Order style production and Ward’s smooth, Bono-esque vocals. Energetic yet melancholy, polished yet raw, the track captures the contradictory Zeitgeist that has been 2020 for me. Ward urges “Take a look at yourself – All you do is say ‘everyone needs love’”.  His lyrics tell a story that his love is not magnificent, but it could be if they could put aside egos. His hooky delivery gets stuck in your head and swims along nicely with the pulsing synths, shimmery guitars, and instrumental textures. While the drum production stays relatively simple, the percussion’s solid foundation puts the other parts of the song in the foreground. I certainly hope to hear more from Ward and Club Manchego in the future!

The song is a blend of two original compositions from two international artists. Franco’s (MX) original instrumental song “CLUB MANCHEGO – 1999” was blended with music and lyrics from a song that Ward (USA) wrote called “C’est Magnifique”.

Produced by Elk Road Music & Socsub. CLUB MANCHEGO is under license by SOCSUB (Sociedad Subterránea), distributed by Awal & Ditto Music. Produced by Elk Road Music & Socsub. CLUB MANCHEGO is Alejandro González Franco known as Aletz Franco.
