Splash House Weekend Two: Your Ultimate 2024 Survival Guide

Splash House 2024, Weekend Two is almost here, and it’s time to dive into one of the wildest, sun-soaked parties of the summer! Whether you’re a seasoned Splash House pro or a first-time festival goer, here’s everything you need to know to make sure your weekend is nothing short of legendary.

Surviving the Heat: Hydration, Sunblock, and Style

Let’s get real: Palm Springs in August is basically the surface of the sun. The heat is going to be intense, so make sure you’re drinking water like it’s your job. Keep that water bottle filled and handy because dehydration is not a cute look. Slather on the sunblock—nobody wants to go home looking like a lobster. And when it comes to outfits? Go big or go home! This is your chance to pull out the wildest, most colorful festival gear you’ve got. Sequins, neon, outrageous hats—anything goes at Splash House!

The Renaissance: Glamour and Gigantic Parties

If you’re hitting up the Renaissance, you’re in for a treat. This is the biggest and most glamorous venue, where you’ll find the crowds and the vibes on another level. But beware: with great size comes great confusion—there’s practically no signage, so pay attention to where you’re going, or you might end up on the other side of security outside of the pool party! The Renaissance is all about that upscale vibe, so if you’re looking to turn heads with your festival fashion, this is your stage. One hot tip: avoid the bathrooms on the other side of security unless you really want an adventure (and not the fun kind).

Margaritaville: Security Tight, Fun Flowing

Next up, Margaritaville. Think of it as the middle child of the venues—pretty standard but still full of potential. Just be ready to spend a little extra time at the entrance because security here is thorough. So pack light, be patient, and once you’re in, let loose. It’s classic, it’s comfortable, and it’s where you can just enjoy the music without any frills.

Saguaro: Colorful, Inclusive, and a Little Quirky

And then there’s Saguaro, the most colorfully vibrant, randomly friendly, and socially inclusive spot of them all. This place is pure energy, with a major LGBTQ+ vibe that’s all about celebrating love and life in every color of the rainbow. It presents as a budget hotel with a whole lot of personality, and you’ll feel the fun as soon as you step in. But heads up—security is a bit more, let’s say, hands-on here. So brace yourself for a little extra personal space invasion. But once you’re in, the vibe is unbeatable.

After-Parties: Where the Real Magic Happens

The party doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. Make sure to check out the room parties at the Renaissance after the Air Museum on Saturday and after the headliner on Sunday. (Maybe even Friday, I don’t know!) Doors will be open, and the energy will be through the roof! These late-night gatherings are where the real magic happens, so don’t miss out.

Final Thoughts: Go Big, Stay Cool, Have Fun

Splash House is all about losing yourself in the music, making new friends, and dancing like nobody’s watching. (even though they probably are) With these tips in your back pocket, or fanny pack, you’re set for an unforgettable weekend. Stay hydrated, stay cool, and most importantly, have the time of your life.
