The Noise Pop Festival is set to return to the San Francisco Bay Area for its 32nd anniversary from February 20 to March 2, 2025. With exciting headliners like DIIV, Danny Brown, The American Analog Set, Reverend Horton Heat, and events spanning multiple venues. Also, we are super excited about local legend Geographer an American synth-pop/indie rock band founded in 2007 by Mike Deni. This iconic festival is ready to wow fans of independent music, art, and culture once again.
The Opening Party at NightLife with DāM-FunK on February 20th at the California Academy of Sciences is the best place to see the professionals of the Bay Area’s music industry. It’s a great place to network with creative talents and enjoy a night of vibrant live performances and cutting-edge sounds. All of this takes place in a truly unique setting surrounded by awe-inspiring exhibits, including a lush rainforest alive with fluttering butterflies, fascinating taxidermy displays that tell stories of natural history, and a lively colony of adorable penguins adding a playful vibe to the evening.
There are shows every night, who will you see? Perhaps you will attend Danny Brown, the critically acclaimed MC making waves with his sixth studio album Quaranta, at his one-night performance at Public Works on February 22. It will be a must-see for hip-hop enthusiasts at this airy, multilevel venue hosting art exhibits, electronic music DJs, indie bands & special events. Indie-rock fans will also be treated to some of the genre’s most exciting acts. American Football, known for their emotionally charged music, will celebrate the 25th anniversary of their debut album LP1 with a rare two-night gig at the Great American Music Hall on March 1-2. Soccer Mommy, who has garnered widespread acclaim for her indie rock sound, will headline The Fillmore on February 28, following the release of her much-anticipated album in fall 2024. The festival will also feature Lankum, an Irish folk music group whose album False Lankum earned them a Mercury Prize nomination. They’ll bring their hauntingly beautiful music to the stage on February 27.
Since its inception in 1993, Noise Pop has stood as a beacon for indie and alternative culture. Over the years, it has played a crucial role in spotlighting emerging talent, giving fans the chance to experience artists in intimate, often unconventional venues. Expect a mix of breakout stars, legendary acts, and local gems that embody the festival’s spirit. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a first-timer, Noise Pop 2025 promises to deliver unforgettable performances and unforgettable moments. Mark your calendars, rally your friends, and get ready to immerse yourself in the magic of Noise Pop Festival 2025. It’s more than a festival—it’s a celebration of indie culture and the creative heart of San Francisco.
