IMPORTANT DISCOVERY w/ I The Mighty

While on tour with I The Mighty, we visited a lot of states I never thought I would see. Never really wanted to see… but I learned a valuable lesson:

When I told my friends I was going to Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska… I got the same response from a lot of them: (Sarcastic Tone) HAVE FUN!!! (I.E. Why would you wanna go there?!) I’ll admit… I’ve taken that same sarcastic tone before!!! But I’m here to tell you, while the stereotype “redneck sheltered cowboy” does exist in these states… The hipster craving good music, good coffee, and a solid conversation exists too!!!

This… while seemingly obvious… was a huge realization for me!!! I/We need to stop being so sheltered and open up to the idea that there are awesome people, awesome bands, and interesting things happening in the states that seem super sheltered and landlocked!

I’d like to give a “shot out” to my people in Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska!!!

So what do you think?
I’d love your feedback!
