Geographer in 2008 & NOW in 2015

There’s nothing better than seeing your friends experience success.

I discovered Geographer in 2008. They had a small fanbase, but I was quite impressed with their sound. I had no idea at the time, that five years later I would be seeing them at the Fox with a crowd of thousands.

In a strange way, it’s like seeing your friends baby grow up. You remember when it was a wobbly thing playing a small stage in SF. Then in what seems to be a “blink of an eye” the baby is all grown up and playing for millions of people you don’t even know on some of the largest stages across the U.S.

I’m crazy proud of Geographer and thrilled that Mike is receiving some very well deserved recognition. In addition, I’m freaking stoked that my friend Duncan has recently been added to the project. Wild that just a few months ago we were sitting across the table from each other at Mutiny, doing an interview about his project DonCat.

Well, this cat is experiencing a lot of success with three extremely epic projects: DonCat, City Tribe, and now Geographer. I look forward to what will come for all of these projects!
