Portola Music Festival is officially back at Pier 80 on September 26–27, 2026, and for its fifth anniversary, they are going ridiculously big. If you’ve been to the San Francisco waterfront for this before, you already know the vibe, but this year’s mix of electronic, hip-hop, indie, and full-on dance-party sets is next-level. Just remember it’s strictly 21+, runs from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. each day, and happens rain or shine. So don’t forget your ID!
Saturday alone is going to be wild. Swedish pop icon Robyn is headlining and dropping her first album in eight years, which is going to be massive. On top of that, DOG BLOOD, that legendary collaboration between Skrillex and Boys Noize, is making its first appearance under the name since 2019. You’ve also got full sets from total legends like Fatboy Slim, Soulwax, British grime heavyweight Skepta, Tove Lo, and DJ Shadow all in one day.
Sunday keeps the energy ridiculously high with Swedish House Mafia pulling up for one of only two announced U.S. dates in 2026. You’ve also got Tiësto, Zara Larsson, Four Tet, and Parcels taking over the stages. The entire weekend lineup is stacked with heavy hitters like Groove Armada, Overmono, Kelela, SG Lewis doing a live set, Daphni, Ben UFO, and Mochakk. Plus, the famous Despacio sound system experience from James Murphy and the Soulwax brothers will be running custom vinyl tracks all weekend long.
If you are planning on going, here are a few things you really need to keep in mind so you don’t get stuck at the gates. The main entrance is over at 900 Marin Street, and there is absolutely zero festival parking on-site at Pier 80, so plan on using Muni, BART, Caltrain, a Lime bike, or a rideshare. Also, make sure you bring a real, physical, government-issued photo ID because they will turn you away if you try to show them a photo, digital copy, or expired card on your phone. There’s no re-entry once you’re inside, so eat up, grab your friends, and get ready for two solid days on the SF piers.
