Music festivals are about more than just music. While at Northern Nights Music Festival you could see Black Star, The Polish Ambassador & Friends, Gold Panda, Rüfüs Du Sol or Goldfish, and so many more. However, if you’re like me a festivals culture and none music-oriented events are just as important.
I enjoyed food trucks, fresh fruit, yoga, comedy, sunbathing and more.
There were also performances by the legendary hip-hop duo Black Star featuring Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) alongside Talib Kweli, Gold Panda‘s only US summer festival appearance, Shlohmo featuring his live band, a special set by The Polish Ambassador and Guests, Rüfüs Du Sol, Goldfish, Autograf, Sweater Beats, GoldLink, Slow Magic, Monophonics and many more.
In addition to music, the festival offers attendees swimming, craft beer, boutique wines and specialty cocktails as well as free art, yoga, sustainability seminars and more. Attendees enjoyed riverfront camping on a first come first served basis. Additionally, those that paid the ticket upgrades could park their RV.
