If you thought festivals were just about the music … you’re wrong!!!
Sunday afternoon I decided I would go on a photo scavenger hunt to see what NNMF had to offer in addition to music. Never in my wildest dreams did I expect to find a Mad Hatter Tea Party … once I found it … I had no idea how to get invited. However, I feel like these types of things have a way of just working out. Because while I was sneaking photos of the set-up a cute girl pop’d her head out of the Mad Hatter van and said, “the party starts in an hour, you’re invited if you wear something interesting.”
Thus my advice to you … be sure to pack your finest digs when attending your next music festival. You never know when … you might get invited to a tea party!!!
I ran back to my car, spiked my hair, put on a pink tie, white glasses, brushed off my shoulders and returned to the party.
There were a lot of DJ’s at NNMF .. that night after the tea party I saw ODESZA & Giraffage. Over the course of 3 days, these DJ’s also had sets: Beats Antique, Zion I, Little People, NastyNasty, Plastic Plates, Lindsay Lowend, DOV, Sabo, Christian Martin, Paul Devro, Ana Sia, The Floozies, Shawna, Pumpkin, Steele, J. Boogie, Wooly Mammoth, Hypha, Guidance, Dj Dials, MyKill, Kingdom, Eprom, Kodo, Egyptrixx, Viceroy, Made In Heights, Drome, Two Fresh, Fort Knox Five, Justin Martin
I highly recommend you check out NNMF next year. Also …check out some of the upcoming festivals in the area, like TBD in Sacramento.
