Bells Atlas Travels to New York City

The smooth & soulful Sandra Lawson-Ndu gracefully slow dances out front of Oakland-based band Bells Atlas as a deep electronic groove envelops the audience. She opens her mouth to sing & bodies start to move. The tight and multidimensional band features Doug Stuart, Derek Barber & Geneva Harrison and holds down the fort on a laid-back futuristic rock n’ soul. With hints of CocoRosie, Black Keys, Missy Elliot, and Bjork, this versatile group has a wide reach over Bay Area fans. For their next shows Bells Atlas travels to New York City, playing @sofarsounds on September 23 as well as Brooklyn’s Black Bear Bar in on October 2. To get a sneak peek at Bells Atlas, check out the video below that couples “Sugar for the Queen” with live show photos from Oakland last month. Catch them while they are in NYC and enjoy a little taste of Bay Area lovin’. And like them on Facebook while yer clickin’.
