Soweto born singer-songwriter Black Porcelain, who is currently in the studio finishing her debut album, says the response to her EP was a pleasant surprise. “Honestly, I think we outdid ourselves because I don’t even have an album or a label.” It is this hard-working go-getter attitude that saw Black Porcelain’s single ‘Are you listening’ played on local and international radio late last year. Despite people not being able to put label the sound, the reaction is not hard to describe. People love Black Porcelain’s music.
Black Porcelain is currently in the studio completing her debut album ‘Invincible Summer’ and is very excited about releasing her first complete album.
“I called the Album Invincible Summer as it has been a very long journey with many rejections on the way. I was inspired by an Albert Camus quote (In the depth of winter, I finally realised that within me there lay an invincible summer), which described this journey so well.”
