I ran into these two gentlemen first at my open Mic at the Riptide. Affable, funny, energetic, they caught my eye immediately. Once they got up to the mic, that’s when they exploded. These guys are younger in age but wiser in the brain. I’m excited to see their progression. True artists.
About Amplified & Brandon Scott
Amplified and Brandon Scott have been in collaboration since they first joined forces on the Vans Warped Tour in 2014. Individually, both artists have made a significant impact on their local music scenes: Amplified in San Jose, Ca., and Brandon in Auburn Ca. Together, their music has been showcased across the country, a blend of live music and hip-hop, resonating across both geographic and cultural lines.
The Vans Warped Tour was just the beginning. Generating tremendous buzz and a national following coming off the 2014 tour, they went right into the studio to work on their debut project “The Follow Through.”The combination of hard work and passion, “The Follow Through” tells the story of the sacrifices made by today’s independent artists, exploring the dedication required to be successful while describing imminent struggles along the way.
The Tour
“The Follow Through” is a documentary tour to be held at various open mics along the West Coast. The purpose of this project is to pave the way for the hungry, independent artist. Amplified and Brandon Scott will travel throughout California and Pacific Northwest to open mics on a 30-day tour, tapping into the very heart of the musical communities by building relationships with artists and venues. Amplified and Brandon Scott will be giving out free samples of their music, promoting their EP debut at every performance.
