A first generation Mexican-American, Emmanuel Pimentel (born January 22, 1991) is an American recording artist. He was born and raised into a Roman Catholic Mexican family in Napa, California. Emmanuel spent most of his teenage years growing up in Vallejo, California. With the pressures and responsibilities that he carried while growing up, as well as his two older sisters, Emmanuel felt the need to escape from the surrounding struggle in his household at the time. He stated that it was his motivation for everything he does, saying, “If it wasn’t for the struggle I’ve seen my family go through, I wouldn’t be where I am now.”
In 2008, after a few years of writing and recording music, he was introduced to a rapper from San Francisco by the name of Young Jun3.
By 2009, the two had collaborated on a library of songs and self-released their first unofficial Mixtape. They performed at local party’s and events reaching out to new fans and creating a small buzz in the Bay Area. As his local fan base grew, they were a part of a west coast album release tour with other well known Bay Area artists J. Stalin, Guce, Keak da Sneak, and Philthy Rich. After the tour, Emmanuel graduated high school and decided to focus more on himself, and fine-tune his craft before releasing any further projects.
In 2011, he started recording and producing under the mononym Red Dove. He developed musically enough and began to write and record new material for his debut EP after signing a deal with Trinity Gold Media Studios in 2012.
