Noise Pop and NE Timeas Restaurant group’s third annual 20th Street Block Party is coming back to the three-block corridor along 20th Street between Harrison and Bryant. This free one day party is an awesome way to get out and enjoy the awesome late summer weather we’ve been having all week. There’s going to be two stages featuring a killer musical line-up, chef demonstrations, and workshops, plus tons of deals from nearby local favorites. Attendance is free (yet another reason to love it!), but we’re offering a pair of VIP passes which includes complimentary beer and wine, exclusive viewing areas at the chef demonstration tents, and an exclusive Noise Pop-curated mixtape.

FINE POINTS

Thao & the Get Down Stay Down headline the main stage with their high-energy alt-folk stylings and diverse instrumentation. Don’t miss ‘em as this is their last show in San Francisco until next year. Additionally, singer-songwriter Andrew St. James and soulful guitarist Nick Waterhouse will also be performing sets. Listen to each below:

The Bandwagon stage will feature a headlining set from locals Dominant Legs, a San Francisco based indie pop group who are often seen performing around the city with the Noise Pop family. The other acts gracing this stage include Fine Points, a dreamy, psychedelic ode to rock n roll and No Vacation who make melodic, upbeat pop – perfect for swaying along in the sunshine.

FOOD

Pasta, paella, and peach cobbler! In addition to being three of our favorite summer foods, the 20th Street Block Party offers a culinary demo stage where you learn how the city’s finest chefs prepare all three and get their expert advice to take home to your own kitchen. There will be lots of local vendors selling a variety of food, beer, and wine. You can also check out chefs from some of San Francisco’s most impressive restaurants like flour + water and Central Kitchen compete in a mise en place relay race which has got to be the definition of playing with food if we’ve ever heard one!

and more!
